Great professor. Best math class I've ever had. Go to lectures and CLAS and you'll get a good grade.

British accent. you have to like bad humor. if you have the right frame of mind, his jokes are pretty good. it's a huge class, you learn to get over it. as far as calculus goes, it's easy compared to what it could be

Im not a math person, and out of all the math classes I've taken this was the least dreadful. The tests are easier than the homework. Going to clas helps. The professor is british so his accent is entertaining, and he tries to keep the class light by telling jokes.

He's Brittish, so the accent and the jokes keep lectures interesting.

Cooper is a good guy and the class is not as bad as you would expect college calculus to be. The midterms were fairly easy in my opinion and although I have yet to take the final, I hear it is curved.

Funny teacher, homework is rather easy and online so you can guess answers if you get really stuck. Funniest math teacher i've had (which might not be saying much) If you pay attention in lecture and go to CLAS you'll get an A for sure.

D.A.R.Y.L. Cooper is cool. He has a thick British accent and tells corny jokes. Makes a calculus class as fun as it possibly can be and not too hard either.

He was really nice and always tried to be funny. It was so endearing that you couldn't help but like him. He really us a great teacher, too bad you can't have sections with him.

Okay, so here's the deal, Prof Cooper honestly does try to get you to enjoy lecture with his "sad" jokes, some i'll admit i laughed at, others i questioned. Overall, if you put the work and effort into the class I am sure you can succeed, he does have a useful book... READ IT! Have hope, do your homework, show up to section, and if in doubt... BOO

although he got a little annoying by the end of the quarter he's quirky and tells bad but cute jokes which is endearing. the class was SUPER, easy..i got a D on two of the midterms (out of 3), missed a ton of the quizzes, aced the final, and got an A- probably because of the curve. TAKE IT. hated going that early in the morning, but love the grade.

He is hilarious, interesting and a good teacher. (for CCS intro to higher math)

This class is a lot easier than it seems. I went into the final with what i think was probably close to a C-, curved the final, and got an A in the class... Too bad i took it pass/not pass

The class is so easy, all you need to do is keep up with homework and attend all your class sections. I recommend JARAMILLO A C for T.A. Another thing I didn't know until 3rd test is that the back of the book has old tests THAT REALLY HELP. Also, sections have pop quiz worth 3 points for every section. Curve was 86 = A at the end. TAKE IT!!

I had heard this class was so so easy & it is with every other teacher! Tests are unpredictable on the difficulty. His lectures are so hard to listen to especially in Campbell Hall & ta was more clueless than I was. Take it with another teacher & save yourself the stress! but his jokes were cute & he tries hard for you to like him.

This class wasn't too bad. His curve at the end after finals is fair. You mostly get the grade you deserve. Cooper is really funny. he tells jokes in b/w lecture so he keeps you interested. i recommend taking him..plus he wrote the book!!

GREAT PROF. He tells jokes every lecture, and they are made 10 times funnier by his thick British accent. Great guy! My lecture had about 600 students but he would still encourage questions, making the class seem small and personal. There is a good amount of homework, but it's not hard. Final was hard but just like the one in the back of the book.

cooper is a really awesome teacher! take his class! he makes learning easy and he has funny jokes!!!! the best math teacher i've ever had!

I Definately recommend this class. He is very good at explaining things, better than any other math teacher i've had.His grading is very fair. take this class!!

Good professor, heavy on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy references (which is a plus in my book). Very British and proud of it. I came in with no HS Calc, and the class basically includes pre-calc. Definitely better than 3C for someone with no Calc background.

cooper is a great professor. he is hilarious! lectures and sections are mandatory for a good understanding and a good grade. he helps you understand everything. class is very productive. i highly recommend cooper.

Cooper is funny & his class isnt TOO boring HOWEVER his book sucks ass! It wont help you at all and nothing that he teaches in class will be on the homework. You try doing the hw & u dont get it so u look at your notes & nothing is helpful.so you look at the book & again nothing is helpful..basically, if your REALLY good at math take it if not dont

Daryl Cooper is committed to teaching his material well. Class starts slow, then picks up momentum at the end, so make sure you don't slack off later on during the course. very helpful during office hours...first 2 midterms easiest you will ever take...final and 3rd midterm going to take some work to get an A..large curve, however. i recommend him.
