Very funny. If you show up to class you will do well. Very easy class.

I love his class! He explains the problems so well. Great professor.

Jokes were entertaining. C.L.A.S. was helpful (I recommend it) because he doesn't go into much depth with explaining in lecture.

Daryl explains math so well to people who don't necessarily love it...and he makes it fun! I HIGHLY recommend his classes.

Does the hardest problems from the homework the next day. Very helpful

Daryl is an awesome guy, very clear in his lectures and funny (although the jokes can be corny sometimes)

He is the best math teacher if math is not your thing. He goes through each concept very slowely and explains everything. If you take this 34A with him and take CLAS you should get an A/A-. Don't miss the quizzes, they can really hurt your grade.

Awesome prof, made math understandable which is hard, jokes are kind of dumb but funny, great accent, definetly take him

Had this dude for a sub one day in 3b. Very interesting to listen to and has a sense of humor. It seems like he would be cool to have for a professor...

Decent lectures... about one hour of homework to be done before every lecture. tests aren't that bad. Much better than most teachers in the math department, from what I've seen

Easiest A at UCSB. Material covers math from algebra one, such as finding the slope of a line. he gives you copies of previous tests which are identical to the actual tests. The worst math student ever will get an A in this class.Homework is kind of annoying though-due every lecture, and the homework problems are not similar to the final at all

Best teacher!!...the material is not very hard so the class was really easy!!...nice guy great british accent and tells cheesy jokes that you have to laugh at!...usually stayed for beginning of lecture then left and still got an A...completeley recommend!!

Really fun guy, very helpful if you email him or go to office hours. The material isn't very hard, he makes it easy. Just go to class and pay attention.

boring class. Really nice guy, breaks up class with a joke. His teaching style is very slow and very very wordy. Had an A+ in the class till the final, which I failed (?). Ended up w/ a b. Quick in getting tests back to you and graded. Get a notecard for every test. Do HW and Quizzes -- straightforward. Good LUCK & God Bless!

he's okay, kind of hard to understand, hw is online and due the next day, tricky tests, at least 2 pop quizes a week, also pop quizes in discussuion sessions, by the way tells jokes as a way to show off his talent

He really knows how to break things down so they are easier to understand. He's Great!

He was a wonderful professor. I usaually hate math and have never considered myself very good at it, but I had to take this class for my major and I actually really enjoyed it. Prof. Cooper did a great job with the course! And he tells jokes in class!

I enjoyed this math class very much. Work was fairly easy as long as you do homework and go to lecture. Professor also cracks jokes during class (even though some may be corny...its still nice).

2 easy quizzes a week in lecture, 1 a week in section. HW assignments due every Mon, Wed, and Fri morning. 3 midterms. I recommend CLAS. Do the hw and you will do well on the quizzes and pass the class. Its easy to forget to do the hw, so try to do it as soon as you possibly can. Use answers in book to help you solve the hw problems. Easy overall

He is clear in his lectures, but doesn't really go over the harder problems that are on homework. The midterms and the final was pretty hard overall. The class seems easy at first, but it does get harder. Dont' underestimate the course.

This guy is hilarious. I loved his accent and even his really lame jokes. Always had a positive attitude, and I could tell he genuinely cared about his students. The math itself blew of course. Although he was a great teacher, I recommend CLAS, especially if you are, like me, not a particularly "math motivated" person.

Great teacher. Not too bad of a class, should be easy to understand most of the material easily. Some of the jokes aren't that funny, but hey, at least he tells some. Better than not having any attempt at comic relief.
