This class was very helpful and fun! This was my first calc class and DARYL did a great job explaining it. Lectures are entertaining and sections are very helpful. Daryl tells the funniest jokes! If you are iffy about calculus, then you should take this class.

I honestly was so nervous coming into a college level calculus class only having taken pre-calc and I completely surprised myself. His lessons are great, fast, but informative. I think section is crucial because you can really get into detail and ask questions there. Cooper is funny in his own way which makes the 9 am easier to handle.

Professor is fun and teaches the course material well. However, he assumes that everyone has prior calc knowledge and does not explain he basics which are needed to understand. Gives all Monday or Friday midterms, including one the day after Halloween, not cool. Homework isn't too bad, but the textbook is useless other than answers in the back.

Horrible professor. Assumes all 800 people in lecture are experts in Calculus. Is not helpful during office hours. Jokes are sad and pathetic. CLAS Tutors teach better than he does. Make sure to get Cameron for CLAS. Extremely helpful!

He is a great professor with a very great sense of humor that makes the lectures fun to be in. His approach to teaching is fun and non threatening which is awesome!

I'm probably going to fail this class, but I'm awful at math. Cooper is a really good teacher!! He's fun and interesting! I just think it's difficult to learn calculus in a room filled with 800 people

Professor Cooper is the best math teacher I've ever had. He makes class interesting and loves any student questions. His homework is reasonable and exams are relatively easy since he posts practice exams prior to the test. Class is mandatory as he uses iClickers.

The material is pretty basic and he explains everything step-by-step. Should be an easy A if you do your work. His sense of humor is way too British for me, but whatever. It was okay, just wish attendance wasn't mandatory so I could sleep in. Freaking iClickers.

Cooper is a great teacher. Funny, very good at simplifying the material, and is good at keeping the class interesting.

Professor Cooper can be funny and it's totally obvious he means well. The material is really easy and math is not an easy sunject for me. But through everything the thing that really got me an A was my CLAS tutor like for real she was bomb and I think all the CLAS is pretty bomb so you should sign up for it and the class is cake

Excellent teacher and an excellent class overall, concerning 34A. He is happy to explain anything at all you might have a question about if you meet him after class, and I encourage you to do so. I actually look forward to his lectures - he tells jokes, interacts with audience, and keeps our interest piqued.

He's really funny, a lot of what he teaches you in class doesn't help with the homework but for me the class was really easy. I took calc in high school though. Attendance isn't mandatory but he has iclicker questions so you have to go for that. Good luck!!

Great class. Professor Cooper teaches in a fun style that makes even a difficult subject like calculus much more interesting and understandable. Great choice for a freshman math class.

SUCH A GREAT TEACHER. I hate math normally and Cooper made it actually enjoyable. If you go to class and show an effort he is very fair in grading. His jokes are also great! Take with Cooper!

This is my second time taking the class and wow! The professor teaching it does make a difference. I took this class freshman year and barely pulled a B-. I re-took it two years later. I was terrified because Im horrible at math and couldn't remember anything from freshman year. Now I'm getting A's on all midterms! Great Professor!

This class is very easy. It is easier than Calc AB in High School and you don't learn derivatives until the last 2 weeks of class. The tests are very easy. Attending class is a difficult decision, but he makes it fun by playing music and quirky videos. The hardest part is remembering to do the homework for every class

Easy class. The problems that will be asked in the midterms are very predictable - just look at the practice midterms. Cooper takes you step by step, walks you through everything. I don't understand how you will find this class difficult or do poorly. He is very fair, enthusiastic in his material, clear, and instructive. HW every class though :/

I really hated this class a lot. I had never taken calculus before, and it's been the most confusing, tear-filled journey because i just don't understand his teaching at all. I'm not even going to sell my textbook, i'm gonna burn it.

Cooper is a great teacher! I really enjoyed his class, even though it was a 9 am...but he's always enthusiastic about teaching. It can be annoying that you have to go to lecture because of having i-clicker questions for attendance, but it's really not too bad. Made me love calculus even though I previously hated math. Highly recommend!

He is very funny and insightful. It was hard to loose focus and understanding of the material in his class.
