Daryl is an ok professor. The homework is annoying and irrelevant but midterms and finals are super easy because he gives practice exams that are very similar to the actual ones. Honestly, if you just do those and understand them, you should do great in the class.

Overall the class was so-so. Daryl is a very enthusiastic professor. Homework was most of the time harder and irrelevant to the midterms/finals. CLAS helped A LOT! Textbook was useless in explaining problems. Also, if you get a C, C+ or B- and you do all your homework & attend section/class he raises it to a B!

If you need or have to take the math 34 series take it with Cooper. Everyone else that teaches it sucks. The homework is harder than the test, and the practice test are just like the test. Amazing professor, he keeps you engaged. Also, an iclicker class which helps you keep up and makes you attend class.

Daryl's class was very easy but informative. He prepares you well for the exam with his practice tests and his homeworks make you think. His ppt slides could be clearer though. Overall, I enjoyed math 34a and 34b

Definitely intelligent and explains things in an easy -to-understand manner. British accent may be a bit distracting. Course is very fair. Exams are exactly like the practice midterms. Go to CLAS! Lecture is mandatory for clicker points. Extra credit opportunities are available each test. Section quizzes each week.

Daryl is a great professor. Very funny,kind,& approachable. However,if you have never taken Calculus before (as I hadn't) I would HIGHLY suggest going to CLAS. Pay attention in class and do all the homework. Class takes a LOT of effort but,if you try hard enough,you can do it. Bonus,if you get a C, C+, or B-,he bumps it to a B! Love him, hate calc.

Very easy class. His lectures were very clear. Just do all of the homework and go to the lectures to get your iClicker points. Midterms and final are very similar to his practice tests.

keeps the class engaging and one of the things he does is he likes to tell jokes alot (Some may not enjoy his jokes as much as others however) and also does a "theme" for almost every lecture. He has a fair grading curve that puts you to an instant B if you show alot of effort such as showing up for lecture or section. Highly recommended professor!

Cooper is a fair gader. He tries to help everyone out at the end with a curve that lets C, C+, and B- grades get bumped up to a B if they show great effort. Some of the material on the homework is not on the test. However, he is very helpful and will answer all of your questions. I strongly recommend doing all work for this class. IT REALLY HELPS!

Daryl made a 9 AM math lecture much more bearable with his bad jokes, mildly entertaining videos, and snarky comments. The word problems were tricky and occasionally the homework was irrelevant to and harder than the midterms/ finals. But with some effort and a background in calculus, you should be able to solve them puppies in no time!

Textbook is not helpful, homework has nothing to do with what we learned in class and the lectures are uninteresting. He is often inappropriate during lecture(he actually said that if he had 600 bullets he would shoot us all) but he is a fair grader. Would not take this class.

Fairly easy class. Cooper is a good teacher but you will succeed most if you take the practice tests before each exam. I usually studied the night before and didn't pay attention during lecture and still got an A-. Good class and great guy!

Cooper is SUCH a nice professor. He is funny but his jokes get old. In terms of the material, his lectures aren't very clear at all. With that, I highly recommend going to CLAS and Math drop-in/lab. HW is nothing like the midterms/final. As long as you do the practice tests and understand what you're doing, you'll be fine.

Cooper is enthusiastic and generally a good professor. His lectures are posted online but you have to attend to get iclicker points. Its only worth 5% you dont have to attend all the lectures to get an A. The online homework is nothing like the tests but it doesn't matter he posts identical practice midterms online. Easy class overall. Go to CLAS!

Although cooper made a lot of jokes and played Chariots on fire and Jason Bourne before every test, overall he was a great teacher. He was really easy and if you attend class everyday, attempt the all homework problems, and get at least a C, you get a B in the class.

Don't do it. His lectures are confusing. The only reasons why I did well in the class are CLAS and my section TA.

Professor Cooper is funny and he loves Doctor Who but those are about the only good things about him. His lectures are often confusing and the online homework is way to hard, although a lot of the answers can be found in the text book

I did not think I could love a math class this much. I actually think I'll sort of miss it. Daryl is super fun and entertaining; probably one of my favorite professors. The tests are fair and all you really have to do for an A is show up and do the homework.

Hated this class so much. Cooper can get really annoying by playing dumb videos or annoying songs instead of teaching the material. Book was not helpful. HW was especially stupid. But his grading is fairly easy. Just try...

¡Cooper is GREAT! The class is pretty easy, as long as you attend lectures, sections, and do homework. Its all comprehensive so just make sure you don't fall behind. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! IT WILLLLL BENEFIT YOU!

Cooper is great! He made jokes, which weren't always the funniest, but it kept the class interesting at 8am. He made math fun. Just sign up for CLAS and do all your work. There will be no way you won't get a A or a B in the class!

If you have a background in calculus you'll be fine, otherwise this class is nearly impossible to pass. He also isn't much help, always talking down to students who don't understand his ridiculous word problems.

He's extremely condescending and always makes unnecessary comments to belittle his students. With that said, he does his best to explain complicated problems and gives you really similar questions to practice prior to tests. Not an easy class.

My favorite teacher of the quarter. He is very high spirited, especially at 8 in the morning. He tries to make the concepts as easiest as possible. You just really need to put some sort of effort in the class and you'll get an A.
