The exams are all online. It's just annoying to have to go to a concert downtown.

professor press is an extremely sweet and accomodating professor. her tests are online and the reflections are not graded harshly. i think her ta meredith canabiss is taking over her course after this past spring quarter, and i think she's going to keep the same format. great easy ge!

1. Attend the three required concerts (cost $, but were very fun!) 2. The tests are completely open notes. Just use the provided review slide deck whilst taking the test (completely allowed). 3. Show up to lecture for iClicker sign in, which is MANDATORY. Press is extremely passionate about Dance and very much loves student's opinions. Nice class!

A good class for an easy A, and she was a very nice and understanding professor. You just need to attend lecture and the dance performances and you will pass.

Surely this has to be the easiest A on campus. The lectures are fine, and grades are based on attendance, some exams, and concert attendance. Exams are open notes so not problem there, and concerts are kinda pricy but they're fun.

This professor is so kind and you can tell she is really interested in this stuff. You do have to attend three concerts but they were actually interesting. Also the midterms were easy if you go to the review session, its also open notes. I really like this class its an easy A if you just show up to lecture & concerts honestly.

She lectured straight from the slides, and the slides were online so I ended up just doing them beforehand anyway. Tests are extremely easy and you do not need to pay attention in this class to get a good grade!

It is an easy GE. Not much else to say. Be ready to go to a few concerts which may feel like a pain but given how little effort you need to make to do well in this class it is worth it. Dr. Press is caring and understanding. She seems like a very kind woman, but I'll be honest the lectures are hard to go to when my bed is calling my name.

easy class and GE requirement! attendance is checked with iclicker ever lecture and there are 3 required concerts outside of class. Exams are very easy and based strictly on lecture material. She is very passionate about her work!

Professor clearly likes to do what she does. To improve: she claims she will let you out on time--then will go over by 2 minutes & complain ur packing, + the power points can be hard to follow since she uses several & they aren't the clearest. NOTE-if your class is in person you will have to attend live dance performances, some you have to pay for.

Really good professor, requires iClicker for attendance. 4 exams worth 80% total, but if you watch the review session and see the required dance performance, you will get a straight A

Dance45 was the easiest A ever. I loved learning more about the history of dance, however, the lectures were very monotone and she mostly just read off the slides. The mandatory dance concerts were surprisingly entertaining, and the 4 exams were very easy. IClicker represents 10% of your grade but Dr. Press was very kind and lenient on attendance.

i really like press, however you are graded by a few amount of things so if you miss something itll drop you A LOT. 80% of your grade is exams, 10% is iclicker, and 10% are the 4 dance concerts. its kind of a lot but i recommend it for the fine arts GE.

Avoid this class like the plague.

Took the class online in Fall. There was a lot of reading, but the exams are super easy. Easy A if you take it online.

Grade is based on 4 tests and attendance at dance concerts. Concerts were amazing and glad this class assigned them. Tests are extremely east, the review session posted three days before has like every answer to the test. If you go to lectures test will be very easy.

Very caring professor! Your grade depends on 4 exams + some concerts (we only has 2 this quarter). Didn't read the textbook and did well! Exams are directly from lectures so as long as you keep up with that and watch the videos assigned you can pass! Easy GE!

took this when it was in person, so you had to attend 2 concerts (student pricing was MAX $17, and would've been 3 but one got cancelled) for credit, BUT i didn't mind! lectures are SUPER easy to follow, and exams use exact wording from slides. never did the readings and got an A. 4 multiple choice exams. easiest GE out there, take it for an easy A

Great professor. Does not waste time with meaningless work. The only work was lecture, reading, and tests. The lectures were short and interesting. The reading was short. The only grades were four multiple choice tests which were clear and not meant to trick you. Would take again despite lack of dance interest.

You have four exams for the quarter, and they are the only thing going into your gradebook. No homework. Lectures are short and straightforward. Exams are stress free since the review sessions before each one go over everything you need to know for the exam.

Almost all the content on exams were in lectures and covered in review sessions. The class is a breeze if you keep up with the syllabus schedule and finish the readings and lectures on time. The class is really interesting and is a great GE class to take for arts if you're not that great at creative studies stuff. Easy A!

Prof Press was a great teacher, her lectures were short and to the point. There are 4 non-cumulative quizzes and no final/midterm. Before every quiz there was a review session that was very helpful in summarizing the main points. Definitely sparked my interest in dance, can't wait to watch the UCSB ballerinas in the future!

Class is pretty easy to follow just keep track of the syllabus schedule. If you get behind you have to watch the lecture vids which are not too long but make sure to somewhat keep track. The midterms are non-cumulative so it is not as stressful too. Overall very good class choice.
