All of Professor German's lectures are extremely interesting and you can tell she loves what she teaches. Her presentations are engaging while also teaching you everything you need to know for the class, and I genuinely look forward to her classes and would take another. Tests and quizzes are open note but still require you to understand material.

My favorite professor by far, made me switch my major to psychology after just 2 weeks of her intro to psych class. She is so kind and makes lectures very fun by showing cat videos before each one and giving us 5 minutes breaks in between the units of the lecture. No midterm or final, just weekly exams that are very passable. 100/10 would recommend

Had her for 10A and 10B and she was a great professor. 10B is harder than 10A because there's more material to cover, but the lectures are easy to watch and it's easy to take notes on. Quizzes are easy so long as you watch the lectures. Assignments are a large part of your grade but use your notes and get help when you need it and they're not bad.

By far one of the top best professors in the PBS department. She is so caring, welcoming, and really enthusiastic to interact with. I took both of her PSY 145 and PSY160 courses and based on my experience she teaches beautifully. Her exams are transparent and no way tricky. No lie Im going to miss taking her classes. Trust me take her classes!

Nice lectures, as long as you take notes the online quizzes are very doable. Didnt study for them more than an hour or two and the lowest score I got was an 80. Proposal is difficult but as long as you keep up with weekly assignments you have little to write during the last week. Great at individual feedback, TALK TO HER, TAs can be confusing

Had her for 10A + 10B. Hands down one of the best PSY profs in the department. Stats was kinda hard but if you go to her OH ur probably going to get an A. Dr. Albada clearly cares for her students & will not make you feel stupid if you're confused about the simplest things. Coding wasn't too bad. Tip: Ask questions and hold review sessions for HW

Amazing lecturer. Woods is really great, so smart. Research proposal isn't as scary as it seems because you do a small part of it every week with your TA. Quizzes weren't bad online but idk about in person. Def a decent time commitment but don't be scared, psych majors! Very doable. Sections were annoyingly long tho and sometimes lots of busy work.

Dr. Albada is a really sweet professor and I loved her for 10A, but 10B was more difficult for me. The TA's weren't allowed to tell you if answers were correct outside of "you're on the right track" which is fine for the free-response but a little ridiculous on the math portion when we all need the same answer anyways.

Took this class in the fall and she was amazing! DEF will take another of her classes. She offers extra credit opportunities. Quizzes were timed but reasonable and open note, the material was straight off of lectures and readings so you have to do the work to do well. She hosts review sessions before quizzes and she is very kind and genuine.

She is a great professor and clearly cares for students. If you want a good grade go to office hours. She is super helpful in working through the proposal. The best professor I have had at ucsb. The class takes a lot of time dedication, especially the assignments and proposal. No final or midterm but 3 noncumulative quizzes

This class was a lot of work and super stressful, but just take things one step at a time. You have to work with a group the entire course which is painful. There's a final exam which is super easy and there's a retake for it as well. Major part of grade was the research paper. Prof is caring and understanding if you reach out.

Despite teaching PSY10A for the first time, everything was so organized and clear. She posts assignment examples as well as quiz review sheets so you know what to study for. My TAs and the prof. really helped me with my research proposal. They didn't make me feel dumb for asking questions. Excited to have her for PSY10B!

Professor German makes her async lectures fun and interesting with lots of videos. She shows a cat video of all her kittens at the beginning of each one. She is super caring and considerate because of covid and really cares about her student's well being. There are frequent but easy-ish assignments, text book online. Great prof, learned cool stuff.

She is a great professor! Will give you the help you are looking for, but she does low-key try to trick you on quizzes. The way she words her questions and answers makes you think.

She was so flexible throughout the quarter and was just overall a very caring person.

8 prerecorded lectures each week each about 15 mins long each. Theres one 20q mc exam every week. Theres readings but I did fine without needing to buy the $50 book. No final. You can choose to participate in a study throughout the quarter or write a 2 pg paper but its only 2% so I did neither. Shes very accommodating too. Section takes attendance

Class honestly isn't bad, research proposal is tough but the TA's help you a lot throughout. Clear requirements and she is very knowledgeable

BEST professor ever. Would 100% take another class taught by her. Very understanding. Hosts office hours to review before weekly exams that are very helpful. Pretty straightforward class. Highly recommend this class as a GE or just for credit. Textbook is online. Section attendance mandatory. Watch the lectures and do the readings to get an A.

The grading criteria is super clear. Class is hw assignments (drop lowest) and 4 quizzes (1 retake) and 1 lab per week. She posts vids for hw examples,so if you keep up with those & the short lecture vids you'll be golden. USE TA and Prof Office Hours. 10/10 recommend cause they'll literally help you with the hw since TA's grade kinda rough.

Prof. German is an amazing teacher! This class has weekly tests based on two reading chapters, which ended up being a lot of work. Her tests are also slightly confusing wording wise but wasnt terrible. She modified some aspects halfway through the quarter after feedback, which was really nice.

One of my favorite professors at UCSB. Tamsin is a fantastic teacher and person. In PSY 1 if you read the textbook material and watch the lecture then take the online CYU quizzes you will you well on the weekly exams. THERE IS NO FINAL! She is very understanding even though this is a huge group of students and a stressful class to run. Love her.

Great professor! Super understanding during online and very accessible through emails and office hours. I recommend going to office hours even to just sit in, very helpful. Tests are fair and research proposal is a big portion of grade, just do it before finals week and you will be fine.

Personal favorite prof out of the classes I've taken online. Super caring & understanding, make up exams are open with no questions asked. Tests based off reading and lectures. Lectures are interesting, book is most of the same stuff so can skim and do well. No final, lowest quiz is dropped.

She put a lot of effort into making the class work as well as it could for everyone given it was online. She's super fair about grading, she's big into making sure you understand the conceptual element of stats. Very solid choice. Her lectures are pretty good, but nothing spectacular; she uses a lot of examples which is great.
