Easiest class ever, quiz online once a week, section attendance does matter, as long as you show up you'll get the points, no midterm or final

OMG do not take Dr. Woods. She literally told us she likes to manipulate students and is good at it. I learned absolutely nothing in this class and attendance is mandatory. Reading articles takes forever and the material is super repetitive. Super easy class though for transfer students and a good GPA booster, but really unorganized class though.

Fun professor, lectures are recorded, and quizzes are asynchronous. Overall very enjoyable class.

LOVE her so much. First class I ever took at UCSB and I made the best choice. Super engaging and genuinely interesting material. She is very understanding and lenient. Grades are basically just from quizzes, which are all online, and participation in sections. Very light but fun course, highly recommend.

Professor German was honestly one of my favorite professors during fall quarter. I took Psy 1 just for the credits but learned so much and it was actually super interesting. Super easy class and attendance is not mandatory. Grades are based on section attendance, weekly worksheets and open-note quizzes. Definitely take it!

Good lecturer but sometimes I cannot hear her words clearly. Love the cat videos she shown on screen at the start of every class. No midterm and final. Just weekly quiz. Easy to get a good grade.

This class is ALL busy work. Most of my exams/assignments weren't graded going into finals week. She makes the course seem like it will be a breeze but it all creeps up on you. Only did well in this class because I knew most of the content from previous classes. She's super nice in OH though

Amazing lecturer. Very lenient grading. Overall a very easy class. The class is based on weekly quizzes (~20 q's multi-choice), weekly cyu's (graded on completion), and section participation. She gives you the opportunity to make up all missed quizzes and to re-take your lowest-score quiz. You can just use "A.cademic I.ntegrity" on all the quizzes

Albada is phenomenal. I wish I could take her every quarter. She deeply cares about her students, very easy to contact, and very digestible lectures. She was very understanding when I asked for a make-up exam and her exams were a perfect difficulty. 3 exams and one overarching research paper, but sections help you break it down. Love Albada!

This isthe best class I have taken. Super light, quiz once a week but most of the answers you'll find in the lecture same with the weekly worksheets. Professor German was delightful!!! Always helpful and showed videos of her cats before lecture. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is nice to go.

LOVE HER! Easy class. No final or midterm, just research requirements. Every week have to do one quiz and a worksheet about the topics (graded on completion). Definitely would take it again, Professor German is the best, and the cat videos before lectures lighten the class.

Dr. Woods is okay as a professor. I found her lectures frustrating because her slides are messy and lecture explanations are all over the place, her hand drawn diagrams are very sloppy and no explanation really felt concrete to me. I did a lot of self study outside of class. She is a nice person though and welcomes questions and conversation.

I really enjoyed this course. I was nervous about the final paper at first, but the assignments throughout the quarter were extremely helpful in piecing my draft together. Also we had group quizzes and open note/book independent quizzes. I would definitely take another course with Professor Woods again!

the easiest class i have taken at UCSB (thought, I did take AP psych in hs). The homework was graded on completion and there was quizzes that were open note. No midterm or final, you get the option to participate in studies (which you can do online) you only need to do 3, the alternative is a paper. She also showed her cat (hes cute) my fav lesbian

She is wonderful. Her assignments are very clear and she is very clear on how to do everything. If you follow directions an A should be easy. Her quizzes were also pretty easy and she was very understanding for how long the quizzes should take us. Amazing.

She is very nice and I appreciate how helpful she in is office hours.

She was so chill and funny. Made class enjoyable to go to. Had 2 assignments a week, one online quiz and one lecture guide note taking thing that was graded for completion. So easy you should definitely take! She was also so nice and her lectures were super interesting!

This class had a lot of busy work that in the end didn't really help with the final assignment. Her lectures were not very easy to follow but you can access them online afterwards. She does use location based iclicker for attendance

I've had Albada for 10A, B, and now 151. Graded on three take home exams, final project presentation, a two-part survey, and weekly group reading worksheets based on empirical papers. Very passionate and approachable, loves class participation, and her consistency never ceases to amaze me. Any chance you have to take a class with Albada, do it!
