Woods was a very good professor. The lectures were mandatory but if you paid attention the exams were manageable. Exams were open note, open book as well. The research paper felt daunting in the beginning but there were many assignments along the way to help build it. There is lots of busy work in the beginning that lightens up towards the end.

This class is very unorganized and the lectures are all over the place. Most of the content reviewed in lecture wasn't helpful for the final paper that is worth 35% of the grade. The final paper was very confusing and time-consuming.

SO MUCH BUSY WORK and you get no feedback. not a lot of clear criteria about the research proposal so it has been difficult writing it. the individual exams are also very difficult but she is a great professor.

Intro to psych with her was possibly the easiest class I will ever take. 60% of the grade was free points you just got for completing assignments and 40% was take home quizzes that were open note. Interesting funny lectures as well shows cat videos every class.

I only have good things to say about professor German. I only took this course because it was an easy GE but I think I also kinda fell in love with her in the process. She's kinda quirky and connects concepts to pop culture (which is awesome). She shows cat videos in the beginning of each lecture which is also super awesome. Highly recommend.

I loved Prof German. She is so organized and such a good lecturer that I didn't have to hard-core study. Her lectures were so captivating that you remember everything. She also posts detailed slides and your grade is based on quizzes (that are based on the lectures), participation, HW, and being in psych studies. It was so fun and interesting.

Professor Woods is generally engaging, but the class has a lot of busy work. Exams are fair, and the research paper is manageable with proper guidance. Attendance is mandatory, but Unstuckstudy can be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

Professor German is a great and caring professor, she is always very engaged with the material and is emanates passion for psychology. This is a very interesting but easy GE class to take, weekly quizzes and check your understanding sheets are the bulk of the (small) workload for the quarter.

loved this prof!! she was super engaging and made the course interesting. there is one long research paper at the end but all the lab assignments lead up to the paper so its not too much all at once during finals. i would def recommend this prof for 10A although the lab sections did kind of drag on a bit (2 hrs)

Great class with interesting topics. It's a super easy GE if you need it, but I would highly recommend the class as it's easy to get a good grade simply by trying and doing your assignments. Professor was very kind and easy to talk to at office hours, in addition to being very engaging at lectures. Lectures are posted online if necessary!

Dr. Albada is one of the best profs I've had at UCSB! She is so sweet, kind and cares about her students' success. Assignments are long and take time, but they help so much with Research Proposal due at end of quarter. My TA, Hannah was also so amazing! Both are super helpful and want you to succeed!

i took albada for 10a, 10b, and will have her again this coming quarter. she is an amazing prof and I wish she taught all my classes.

Does a very good job at making you interested in course content and she covers all information clearly. You don't have to go, however, as all slides are posted and are all that is needed to complete weekly reflections and quizzes.

Seriously such an awesome professor. Lectures aren't mandatory but would definitely recommend going anyways as some of the quiz questions reflect topics/videos viewed in class, and there's cat videos!!! Sections are pretty boring but there's no midterm or final and the weekly quizzes/assignments are relatively easy. Take this class!

Loved this class with her. Lecture slides are straightforward and theres a study guide for every quiz detailing exactly what you need to know. Helpful office hours and easy to get a hold of. Research paper is a lot of work as expected but she makes it very clear what you need to do in order to succeed. Very fair loved her 10/10

Definitely a really easy yet interesting GE to take. I really enjoyed Professor Tamsin, she seems very intelligent yet witty. I hope I have the chance to take another one of her classes in the future.

100% take this class - it's easy and super fascinating. Dr. German is an engaging lecturer and uses both text on the slideshow and vids of psych experiments to teach. Also gives multiple breaks each lecture. She is super accessible and helpful during office hours. Everyone I know loves the class.

Super easy GE. Grade consists of weakly quizzes and worksheets. No final exam and all lectures are posted online with recordings. Definitely recommend for an easy GE.

She wasn't overly nice or willing to help, however, the course layout was incredibly easy to follow and provided students with a simple curriculum.

Fantastic professor who is clearly passionate about the material she is lecturing on. Sections are mandatory, but lectures are not as they are recorded and the slides posted online. Weekly online quizzes that are relatively simple. You are given two options for the “final” and you are given all quarter to complete either one. Highly recommend!

I LOVE professor German. All the lectures are optional, and if you don't go she posts all the slides and lecture recordings online. Sections are mandatory, but not difficult, you just have to show up. We dont have a final or midterms, just weekly quizzes that you take online wherever you want, and if you miss one u can retake it during finals week.

easy and interesting intro psych class- graded on weekly quizzes and worksheets, which were straightforward and simple. sections were interesting enough and prof german is super chill. would 100% recommend for a gen ed :)
