Blithering British Pompous Tenured Jerk. Took Econ 1 with him, thought it would get better. Nope. Same for Econ 2 with less reading... but the pos of a reader has graphs with little to no explaination. Cancels lectures on the fly, insults students not understanding his horribly organized lectures.
I had him for econ 1, so i'm used to his teaching. I think he's great! He knows what he's talking about! Definitely go to lecture and write fast. His writing is really bad though, and he goes over things pretty fast sometimes. But if you ask him to clarify, he'll definitely try to make it clear.
pretty tough class..if you're behind...you're pretty much screwed...class seems very hard in the begginning but you get used to his style of teaching.. when u go to lectures..WATCH OUT ..haha hes gonna call on u in front of everyone and ask u to answer a question!!!
this is the funniest guy you will ever have as a professor! he gives you all the questions for the essays... but econ is so hard!

very good but hard teacher. i liked him a lot and would defnitely recommend him; however he is a difficult teacher and kind of intimidating. definitely go to lecture and understand the graphs!

This guy is insane! But out of all of the econ teachers i would take him, oddly enough I really like him. His class is hard, but crouch knows his stuff. He looks kinda like a mad scientist. I prefer him over all of the other econ teachers

His classes are hard as hell, but he knows what he's talking about. Plus, he likes yell at stupid people. And he's British. Didn't do so well in his class, but one of my favorite professors.
Crouch is great! He's like a historical landmark on this campus. His lectures are thorough and he just rambles on fast & furious...it's like he doesn't even have to think about what he's saying since he's been teaching since the stone age...
This class is amazingly easy. Plus he talks about the economic rationale for legalizing drugs. Go Crouch!
Knows his stuff. If you want to learn take Crouch... if you want someone you can get along, he probably isn't the professor you want to take.

The man is ****, **** and a ****ard. He enjoys calling on people randomly to humiliate them. To remedy his far from sober lectures make sure you have a good TA, or you may struggle. .

He is a hateful old man who yells at students who ask stupid questions or don't understand him, but I found myself kind of enjoying it. He was really oddly nice when I met with him one on one and he definitely knows his stuff. Might make you cry, though.

Probably not for first year students, but anyone who knows a little about math and science, like CS or ECE majors, should do well. Other majors may want to stay away.
