This class is a ridiculous amount of work but you are pretty much guaranteed an A or B if you put in effort. This course is frustrating at times but Pazos gets too much hate. She is organized and accessible through email and office hours. If you are struggling talk to your TA about their specific expectations and you will be just fine :)
The grading depended on if your TA was a harsh grader or not, and they did not even follow the rubric half the time. Lab reports took way longer than they should have, and the final was completely different from the practice exam. Do not take this if you can avoid it, if you need it and pre-med good luck because this is the worst class ever.
She genuinely wants you to fail this class. The TAs grade super hard unless you're lucky and get a nice TA. The final was nothing like the example exam. DO NOT TAKE
Worst Prof of all time. If you plan to major in Chemistry at UCSB, DONT.
Based on TA grading, they purposely give low grades because they don't have enough space in the labs and want people to change their majors. Don't take this class, you're bound to get a bad grade.
The work for the pre labs and post labs take so much work, it's hours of work. For the 2Al final she doesn't give a study guide and for 2BL the study guide isn't helpful. The finals are so hard as well and no matter how much you study it's bad. Also if you have a bad TA your not getting a good grade.
