The course examines the historical, social, media, and political dimensions of the so-called ‘Global War on Terror’ post-9/11, focusing on how those forces impact Arab, Palestinian, South-West Asian, South Asian, and Muslim Americans in the U.S. and the transnational dimensions of U.S. empire.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or higher.
