This practicum-based seminar examines how carceral practices such as immigration detention, border policing, and racialized violence are central to US empire and militarism in domestic and transnational contexts. Topics include ICE detention, immigration rights/justice, Guantánamo, and Palestine.

Prerequisites: Upper-division standing and instructor approval required to finalize registration.
