Readings don't really matter THAT much if you pay attention in lecture. Obviously a bit tougher than the 2 previous film classes but she's a good professor. Clear on what she needs you to do, just make sure to know your TAs grading criteria.

LOVE HER SO MUCH! She is so incredibly kind, passionate, eloquent, informed, etc. My favorite FAMST professor so far. The class itself is also super fun. Lots of writing but easy to manage, as most of it is in class. Attendance required. The films we watched were all really great too. Also no tests, just papers. Highly recommend!

It's a class that teaches you how to write about films, but very heavy on using SPECIFIC language to do so. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the films in this class but I couldn't stand the way the class is structured to make you use certain terms, devoid of any real original thought about the films.

Paper heavy class. Lectures were informative and interactive. The films watched were actually interesting and she gave plenty of examples and clarification for any questions. Tough grading policy but normal for FAMST 96.

Professor Damluji is an amazing professor. She's understanding as long as you communicate with her. Not a tough grader at all, you're basically in charge of your grade so make sure you attend salons if you want to pass this class. Follow the grading rubric!
