CollegeEasily one of the worst professors I've ever had.
Bob is very entertaining and class was very fun but it lowkey didnt have much to do about accounting more than half of the time. You talk about elephants, fruit a lot. Personally love Bob, i only learned by going to sections tbh. Your whole grade is basically based off of the final exam. he skateboards into class so hes kinda chill
GO TO CLASS!! He puts niche things mentioned in class on the midterm and final. The midterm, project, and final are literally your entire grade. Practice tests from previous years are super helpful for the midterm but not as useful for the final. Section is SO helpful, the TAs give you practice problems that actually prepare you for the exams.
He gives old tests with mcqs that have NOTHING to do with the final so you basically go into the midterm and final blind (aside from final frqs) I attended every lecture and it didn't do much help he just rambles instead of answering questions directly, making it more confusing. Make sure to do good on hw and quizzes and go to section
GO TO CLASS!!! yes he rambles sometimes but something that may seem unimportant can appear on a test. For the final, I honestly did not study too much (like 5-6ish hours the night before) and aced it, so my biggest recommendation if you want to do well is to simply to GO TO LECTURE. I also recommend scimming over the textbook.
Bob is the best professor I've had at UCSB so far. He genuinely cares for his students and often goes on tangents about important things for college students to know that are not often taught (investing advice, etc.). He wants his students to do well professionally and has structured his course in that way. Tests can be difficult, study hard.
