CollegeDo not take this professor!!!!! You will not learn anything in her classes. All she does is just talk and talk about stuff that is barely related to the class topic or its completely unrelated. Tough grader. Does not care about students and their success. Can not work technology (no tech class btw). Rude. Don't take her. Worst professor in the dept
She is a very poor and uneducated teacher. Professor Segura is very unprofessional and basically treats the class as her way of choosing who she likes and dislikes.
Do NOT take ANY course with this professor. She is extremely old and needs to retire. She cannot use the internet AT ALL so mostly everything is on paper. She always forgets everything. Her lectures are literally based off of what she has experienced. Her slides have a lot of info, but not that helpful at all. Tina Grubbler, the TA is also bad.
All based on the readings. Her power points were confusing and provided no help. Goes on tangents all throughout class yet still expects you to know and understand the material she did not go over. You are left to learn and understand the course by yourself.
Her class felt all over the place and disorganized. She gives a ton of reading and almost exclusively tests you on the readings but wont give you titles, shell refer to them by their last name but theres over 15 different authors. She would go on tangents in lectures and then make us learn the material on our own.
this class was actually pretty hard.. she goes off on a lot of tangents so I felt kind of lost. grades really harshly. No midterm but there are group discussions, quizzes, and one book review. Final was in class short essays. She takes attendance
