Who else would be nice enough to give a fair game sheet? He actually wants his students to do well. Lectures are definitely worth attending - very clear and interesting.
Funny teacher, and not that hard of class. I didnt do the readings but studyd the fair game sheet and got a solid B. Other than that I did nothing except show up.
After reading comments here I wonder if he is the same teacher, he was neither hot or extraordinarily rude when referring to people with disabilities. Interesting class but hard. Don't read just study notes and fair game sheet. I read on midterm & got a C didn't on final & got an A but only 2 grades so my final grade sucked. Know all meds Specific!
Fridlund's lectures were pretty interesting and he was pretty into the material. The tests were reasonable and he gives you a fair game sheet that is quite helpful. I would recommend this class and professor.
unfair tests (for many of the questions, there were two right answers), completely uncaring (during the tests, you couldnt ask questions unless english was your second language), and completely insane (your whole grade is two tests, with the final being 60% of your grade.) Oh ya, and those experiments could only hurt your grade, not help it.
makes the class very fun!
Really Fun Teacher! Midterms & Final aren't too bad as long as you do the reading & go to class! Gives You a "Fair-Game" sheet for the midterm & final that help a lot!
AMAZING- thats all i can say. This class is oriented so you there is no way you can do bad if you try (even just a little). He wants to make it fun, and it is- he makes you want to learn! Completely AMAZING- BEST teacher i have had BY FAR.
Great Great Teacher, very funny, easy test and final. HIghly Reccomended. FAIR GAME SHEETS SAVED MY LIFE!!
Very good instructor. Makes learning fun and interesting.Very funny! He is really fair when it comes to midterms/final, provides "fair-game sheet" to help prepare for them.
grading scale sucks. very long and boring lectures, since the notes are online.
The only complaint I have is the grading scale. It's practically impossible to get a plus in the class. In this class and in Psy 1, I was ONE question away from a B+. But it's still a great class.
excellent and interesting class! study the notes, ATTEND LECTURE! he posts notes online but tests on many things that aren't written, but spoken in class. just go to class & study before tests. anyone can do well, he's easy to follow & listen to, and the class material is super interesting. take the class!
great class, easy to follow, entertaining guy. Study notes way more than the book.
hes ****, a ****, and he is full of himself. The only reason people like him is becuase he says funny things which are ****, ****, and self-praising. I dont know how this guy became a professor, but i he has no moral consideration for anybody.
really interesting class! great for non-psych majors too. Not hard at all. The professor is cool and keeps lectures really interesting.
great professor. Keeps lectures fun. very lively and funny.
AMAZING
very interesting class and he gives great descriptions/demonstrations of each illness. he's funny, the tests aren't hard at all as long as you study. his lectures are easy to follow and understand, there may have been some tangents that are related to the lecture but it wasn't annoying or noticable.
He is an awsome prof. He knows alot and makes the lectures interesting and light. I would recomend him for any psy class! Subject is a bit hard but if you really study for it you'll do fine. :)
THE reason I switched majors and am now going on to a doctorate in psych... The class is a lot of work, but hey, it builds personality ;)
really good teacher, presentations very fun to watch
Funny, gives great examples, and makes the stuff just stick to your head.
One of the best classes and professors i have had at UCSB, though he made the class pretty challenging, and a lot of work was involved, if you're interested and willing to work for the grade, you'll definately get it.
