Statistics & Applied Probability - PSTAT

Introduces methods for analyzing time-to-event data, focusing on both concepts and applications. Topics include survival and hazard functions, life tables, Kaplan-Meier estimation, comparison of survival curves, and regression models such as the Cox proportional hazards and accelerated failure time models. Emphasis is placed on developing intuition for the methods and interpreting results. Students will gain hands-on experience with survival analysis using R.

Prerequisites: PSTAT 10 and PSTAT 120B both with a minimum grade of C or better.
