Environmental Studies - ENV S

Introduces students to central concepts and key issues at the intersection of urban and environmental change. Through an environmental studies lens, this course focuses on how the growth of cities, both historically and in the present, are centrally linked with the transformation of the environment, including pathways to more just, sustainable, and equitable futures. Example topics include: industrialization, US suburbanization, and the rise of our consumer productions economy.

Prerequisites: Environmental Studies 40 (concurrent enrollment is permitted).
