Deformation of rocks--faulting, folding and flow. Theory and observations at scales ranging from mountain belts to microscopic. Lab, lecture and field trip(s). The field component consists of 1-2 one day trips and an overnight trip lasting 3-4 days.
Prerequisites: Earth 104A or Earth 104G with a grade of C or better; Math 2B or 3B (may be taken concurrently); Physics 6A or 1 or 7A
