This introductory course investigates the social foundations of health justice to critically analyze how we understand health and healing. We focus on the systemic inequality of health and health care; and how the healing of individuals is contingent on the healing of social ills. Engaging an interdisciplinary approach that brings together knowledge across academic disciplines and lived traditions, our objective is to plot out a new intellectual direction for critical health justice that intersects with Asian American Studies
