Amazing lecturer who offered a lot of great insight into AsAm history! assigned readings were not required but are recommended to read since the 3 exams were based off lecture and reading materials. TAs were usually pretty lenient with grading and Prof Park allowed for a cheat sheet to be taken into the exams. perf GE class to take!

Best GE i've ever taken as long as you go to lecture and do the readings you'll be fine. She was great, her lectures are interesting because she actually cares, she offers lots of extra credit points for random things like showing up to class, grade curves, etc. I literally ended with a 102% in the class.

Super interesting GE and Professor Park's lectures are passionate and funny. The class is very lecture and reading-heavy and you have three tests throughout the quarter (no final). She tried to make grading consistent among all the TAs but some of them were harsher graders and some were more willing to give you points back if you talked to them.

Very manageable work load and interesting material! The professor is very nice and she shows lots of interesting films in the class. 3 midterms but no final and you can bring in a page of notes. Definitely would take her again!

super chill and leniant on grading. Her TAs are also cool. She does sometimes open a response on canvas at the end of lecture to make sure students stayed. No final but 3 midterms.

I loved this class. Professor Park is passionate and the way she structures lecture make it so you need to go to do well in the class (lots of in class q's) but they're engaging and not super dense- showed some cool films! 3 pretty simple exams and no final, readings are heavy but super interesting! Would def recommend if you need ethnicity!
