I found the lectures slow and not very engaging, but they did prepare you for exams. Reading wasn't always essential. Exams felt fair overall. Section attendance is graded. Manageable class, just not very interesting

Love him and HIST17C! He provided great resources and made it very clear what was expected of us. For the exams, you had many options and only had to choose a few to write about, so it was flexible and easy to do well. I also appreciate that he used main topics from our readings and not niche, silly topics. Overall, he made it very easy to do well.

A lot of the coursework feels like a repeat of APUSH. Lectures are used as one of your sources but don't really go in deep on topics

I don't get how people don't like him. Lectures can be boring, but he truly cares about the material and is easy to follow. He uploads the slides, and the readings are not necessary. We had one midterm and one essay that were manageable. He was a good professor.
