CollegeMaribel is such an amazing and engaging professor that really wants you to understand and love math the way she does. This class is really fun and is 1/2 project/theoretical. The grading scheme is very relaxed but she doesn't always teach the class the same way. Overall a really fun experience. Save this class for when you can really focus on it.
She lied about giving out extra credit, graded really harshly on everything. Don't take this class unless you have a lot of time, if you're a full-time student with other major classes it's not doable at all.
I really like her classes. Her course is challenging with numerous quizzes and a considerable amount of homework, But you will definitely acquire a great deal of knowledge. I have read many textbooks and audit many courses on linear algebra, but her course is definitely the one with the perfect structure and the richest content.
Wonderful professor. I can tell she deeply cares about mathematics and her students' success.
Absolute GOAT! She is an interesting professor. Although I don't enjoy the content of Math CS 128 (Logic & Sets) that much, her class was great. She also gives the best advice: In the 1st quarter of my undergrad, I was rushing to take 111 and 118, but she stopped me. I didn't understand at the time, but later it proved that she was far-sighted.
Maribel was a very good and caring professor. She is very easy and friendly to talk to and is very helpful in the class and in general. This class was not especially hard but not a cake walk either. There is a lot of group work as the whole point of the class is to get you used to thinking mathematically, creatively and rigorously.
