Seems like a nice guy but assigns readings so dense and theoretical that even the TAs admit they don't really understand it. Instead of lecturing he makes you do mandatory group presentations for 2 hours that are only worth attendance points. I haven't spoken to anyone in this class who fully grasps what is going on

Ungraded group presentations every week, and he lectures maybe 1-1.5 hours out of 6 hours of class time, and the lectures don't even really make sense. The TAs are as lost as we are and the readings are incredibly dense but are required for weekly assignments, including the "supplemental" readings. Don't take this prof if possible

Bloom is one of the most confusing professors I've ever encountered. He changes the criteria for assignments weekly and constantly contradicts things our TAs have clearly laid out. We also had to do weekly presentations that were so disorganized that it just felt counterproductive to learning as a whole. Midterm was also so long for no reason.

Do not take his class. Lots of work but ABSOLUTE MEANINGLESS. HATE IT.

A decent lecturer and a helpful professor when you have questions, but boy he's inconsiderate about your life outside his class. Very antsy about extensions, despite the midterm and paper deadlines being unreasonable for most of his students' schedules, and not very grateful for our time/attention. The presentations were fun and engaging though.

Take his classes if you want to wake up at 8 in the morning and sit through a 3hr lecture where half of it is him patrolling the room tryna see if his ridiculous method of forcing meaningless discussions is any good. He calls the papers research paper but its just "researching" from his readings he feeds you every week. 350 letters is not enough.
