CollegeI take full accountability that I added this course before even looking at her rating on RMP. I don't even know where to start, so be ready for some basic slides with a few videos. Then, in weeks 2-3, we will start having in-class presentations that take up more time than the lecture. Also, be ready for only 4 things to be graded. Avoid if you can.
Romo is not the best lecturer, but you aren't given a lot of work, mostly just PowerPoint info. Midterm and final are worth 70% of your grade, and media presentation & attendance make up 30%. Some test questions were a bit confusing & weren't on the review or PPT, but as long as you keep up with attendance & do well on the project you'll be fine.
Not a bad class, basically developmental psych, but surface-level content. The professor is NOT tech savvy so be patient with her. TA's are more helpful than the professor. If you go to lectures/section and take notes, you should do fine in the class. Only graded on midterm, final, simple group project, and attendance.
Midterm and final worth 70% of your grade. Taking the applied psych minor and have loved every class. The professor intentionally makes the test to destroy you. I got an A in the entire OCHEM series yet some how got railed on both midterm and final. Still got a passing grade but if you were looking for an A this aint the class.
Suuuper boring lecturer. Reads of the slides and I literally could fall asleep. Can't use technology to save her life lol and is disorganized. Material is super easy though especially if you are a psych major. Material is generally interesting.
Professor Romo sometimes seems as if she does not know what she is doing. Her lecture slides are all out of order and she skips things and says she'll go back to them but she never does. She doesn't seem very enthused to be lecturing. I thought that the TA's did a better job of teaching the material. Definitely attend sections, they are helpful.
