CollegeI really appreciated Feinstein's lectures because he connected all the topics very well and didn't speed through everything like the other MCDB 1A profs did. His test questions for the midterm/final were very fair and reflective of the lectures. Overall great guy!
Lectures were fast paced and confusing. I took AP Bio in high school and still found them hard to follow at times. I understand that genetics isn't usually taught first but it really doesn't have to be this complicated. The questions he wrote for the final were evil & not at all like the midterm. Felt like he was trying to mess us up on purpose.
literally horrible section on his final…. not sure where any of that came from but his section made me hate genetics and him (do not take this class with him. you will regret it.)
His midterm was easy but his portion of the final was nothing like the midterm. Also it was nothing like his lectures at all, there wasnt even a single pedigree on the genetics part. Evil final
Took him for MCDB 194SM, a 2 unit seminar he teaches. Supposed to be 5 assignments for the class, he only finished making 3. He held class outside set timings and on Memorial day. Boring/bad lecturer, youtube lectures by another professor copied word for word and still messed up. Assigned a 20 page paper as the final after the drop deadline.
His lectures sound like he's just coming up with them on the fly. Like he'll literally look at a slide and then start explaining the diagram or whatever just yapping and yapping. Lectures were ok just vague because he doesn't explain things in the level of detail needed for exam questions
