FEINSTEIN S C CLEGG D O WILSON M Z HALLING S E
Lectures were fast paced and confusing. I took AP Bio in high school and still found them hard to follow at times. I understand that genetics isn't usually taught first but it really doesn't have to be this complicated. The questions he wrote for the final were evil & not at all like the midterm. Felt like he was trying to mess us up on purpose.
literally horrible section on his final…. not sure where any of that came from but his section made me hate genetics and him (do not take this class with him. you will regret it.)
His midterm was easy but his portion of the final was nothing like the midterm. Also it was nothing like his lectures at all, there wasnt even a single pedigree on the genetics part. Evil final
Took him for MCDB 194SM, a 2 unit seminar he teaches. Supposed to be 5 assignments for the class, he only finished making 3. He held class outside set timings and on Memorial day. Boring/bad lecturer, youtube lectures by another professor copied word for word and still messed up. Assigned a 20 page paper as the final after the drop deadline.
His lectures sound like he's just coming up with them on the fly. Like he'll literally look at a slide and then start explaining the diagram or whatever just yapping and yapping. Lectures were ok just vague because he doesn't explain things in the level of detail needed for exam questions
nice guy but not the best at teaching the material. i had to go back and rewatch every lecture + do extra outside research to understand anything at all.
super boring and messed up a lot and im pretty sure he copied the material from the slides from the amoeba sisters lol
This guy yaps too fast
MCDB 194SM: Broke his own grading criteria, empty canvas, rude over email, held class on MEMORIAL DAY! + held class outside of actual timings!? Lectures suck and he copy pasted his lectures (including the welcome message in bubbly letters) from a prof named UriAlon on YTube (not joking). 2 unit course w/ 7000 word final not mentioned on syllabus :)
Dr. Wilson is not a good professor. I emailed him a few times with questions, to which he responded with "Just look at the slides" or something unhelpful. With no practice exams, I was SUPER nervous about the genetics portion. Luckily, there weren't many pedigree questions on the final. The questions were derived from the slides!
You could tell he was new. When trying to teach he was all over the place. When asked reassuring questions during lecture, he wouldn't really answer it and just say that it was on the next slides. For an 8am it was really hard to continue going to lecture since he would trip by his own words and really only read off the slides.
3rd prof for the 1A course and was the worst, I don't think I've ever seen a more technically inept individual who isn't over the age of 70. His lectures never made any sense and it was unclear what he was talking about or mentioning. He was also incredibly boring, I wanted to slam my head into a wall when I was watching his lecture videos
