CollegeI've taken four classes with Scott (3B, 136A, 118, 185); he's been clear with the grading criteria in all. Yes, you have to put in the work (do all back-of-the-book problems, even the long ones, especially for 3B), but I found that when I did this, his classes were very manageable. Super kind and caring as well. Go to his office hours.
I enjoyed Professor Fulkerson's 185 class. His dry sense of humor makes his lectures engaging, and much of the material covered on the exams is found on the slides (so attend class, as that material isn't posted). A lot of the grade comes from group projects with varying levels of difficulty. Do your best in these and you'll be okay. Recommended.
Really funny, good professor. Exams were mostly based off the slides he provides. However, I think since Econ 185 is an elective the curve should be closer to 75/25 A's and B's rather than 50/50.
He hates the 6 7 joke
Really hard class but he makes it bearable and a positive learning experience, one of the few professors where I've actually learned in lecture and not just from self teaching. Super engaging which almost makes the subject material bearable. READ THE TEXTBOOK! If you didn't start studying bonds yesterday you're already behind
Going to lectures and using the textbook for exam preparation are crucial. Great professor who explains concepts well, this course just requires a lot of outside practice and application as well. Would love to take one of his classes again.
