I LOVED this class. This class was really engaging and I honestly learned so much. The class is graded primarily on group projects but it includes some creative projects too. She helped me get over my fear of public speaking because of how supportive she was. She really cares about her students. If I could take another class from her I would.

Professor Pacheco really cares about her students and is conscious about the current issues and discourses in the field of anthropology. She helped to restore my faith in the anth department and she is humble in receiving feedback from students about the quality of the content we're learning.

The material was hefty but allowed to learn more on what was intended. A harsh grader, and never seemed satisfied with any group project. Every major assign. was a group project. Instructions were vague & expected beyond that from the class. Poor feedback given. After attending every lecture, assignment, & asking for feedback, I ended with a B+.

Professor Pacheco is very knowledgeable, and I did learn a lot from her Anth 135. However, her feedback is unnecessarily harsh and she does not provide examples of how her students could improve. Some feedback seems opinion based instead of objective. Does not give clear criteria for projects. Fair grades but extremely harsh criticism!

This class may seem easy, however the grading criteria for the projects are ambiguous and ask for unnecessarily hard connections between class material. Also, participation is heavily graded yet you need to be constantly talking in order to get full points, and I mean CONSTANTLY. Easy enough if you do all the projects and participate.
