CollegeThis is the worse course I have taken at UCSB. They have subpar lectures, films that you can only see at lecture (you must remember all of it for the midterm including quotes), and they final research paper is ridiculous (Graduate level research). In this course they are absolutely the hardest graders that I have dealt with. Take any other course!
Just do not take her classes. So difficult with extremely high expectations for undergrad. Made the mistake of taking her twice. Tests are 60-80% of grade, writing essays in class. Expected a 20 page paper with 20 references on top of tests and reflections. Just dont
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!! SHE IS SO NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AND MAKES IT SO DIFFICULT TO SUCCEED IN THE CLASS. THE EXAMS ARE THREE ESSAYS IN THREE HOURS IN PERSON. THE FINAL PAPER IS 2O PAGES MIN AND 20 SOURCES. DO NOT TAKE DO NOT TAKE DO NOT TAKE!!! AND SHE GIVES NO BREAK IN THE LECTURE.
The class has so much potential but she does a horrible job at teaching the material. She expects so much from students but wont even show up to class on time. Doesn't take feedback well and is a very tough luck professor. You will need to try really hard in the class and basically teach yourself. The only good thing about this course was the TA
Just don't.
Professor Twine sucks. Her class is the most disorganized bs I have ever had to put up with. She doesn't give clear rubrics but still expects an insane amount of specifics. The reading load is absolutely ridiculous and she doesn't talk about any assignments in class. Not accessible AT ALL. Save yourself and DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!!
