CollegeProfessor Grigorian is very passionate about math, and that comes across in lecture for sure. His tests are very fair and if you take time to study and do practice problems it should be fine. Homework does take a little while, but it is helpful to understand the concepts. Participation MATTERS. Definitely sit closer to the front so he remembers you
Professor clearly loves teaching mathematics you can see his passion in the way he explain concepts. The midterm was fair, and they provided helpful sample questions for preparation. I shared my concerns about this course with him, and he took the time to listen. Even though my performance wasn't great, I think he is a good educator.
agree with the last person that wrote the review. Literally if u participate u get a better grade and easier finals bc he asks questions while teaching the material so you already have to know it. lectures are genuinely so unhelpful but attendance was mandatory. He is not good at teacher at all. Avoid him.
Frustratingly inaccessible outside of class. I couldn't make office hours & he didn't reply to my emails for 2 weeks even after talking to him in class. If you participate, then you receive better grades and easier finals, but that requires you to understand course material before he even teaches it. Never felt so miserable & unsupported in a class
Having him for PSTAT126 rn. Never doubt he is a really nice guy. But he just makes 0 transitions in what he taught and always makes me feel lost. Get ready to self-teach urself (my TA is not helpful as well).
Very friendly, and answers all questions without making you feel dumb. Exams were similar to practice tests and always tested on content we had covered in class/section. Went on tangents in lectures, but the class wasn't content-heavy so I was fine with it. Skip lectures and self-learn through the free textbook if it bothers you
