CollegeLol don't know why this professor is so highly rated. Half the class dropped after the first midterm. Material was abstract, boring, and useless. You're graded on 3 exams, 1 paper, 1 group project, and 5 other activities. Studied 15+ hours for the final and still got a C on it. If you have a life, don't take a class with this professor.
Prof Rice is a fantastic teacher. The class was genuinely interesting and engaging. If you attend lecture, you shouldn't have to do much outside reading to get an A. If you skip you'll have to read to catch up because the slides on their own aren't enough without his commentary during lecture. Syllabus is intimidating at first but not too bad!
Hands down the best professor I've ever had. He is hilarious and an exceptional lecturer. He somehow made me look forward to attending a 5 p.m. class. The assigned book was the first one I've genuinely enjoyed reading in college. There is an online version so it's free.3 in-person tests. Test questions are basically handed to you.
I love Professor Rice! His diffusion of innovations class was really cool and his lectures were interesting. He is a really good professor and he is pretty funny too.
Professor Rice is a great teacher with a fun personality. You can really tell he loves what he teaches. I enjoyed the structure of the class too -- easy/manageable weekly assignments and 3 quizzes that are extremely easy to study for if you just follow his study guides. Definitely a great professor and a good class to take.
Great prof, class is structured around 3 quizzes n a paper, not bad at all. He has a good personality and it isn't super boring. I would recommend it.
