1 major group project, 2 papers, a midterm exam, and a video project. This class is not for the weak. Concepts learned in the class were very interesting and Prof Gibbs is a great lecturer but if you want an easy class to take this is not it. Papers were graded leniently. Midterm was pretty good because of how helpful the study guide provided was!

Dr. Gibbs is very smart and kind and lectures on contemporary topics that are very interesting. I wish the writing assignment instructions were a bit clearer. Also, I'm not a huge fan of group work, and a large portion of the grade is a big group research project. The course structure wasn't my favorite but the class is interesting and manageable!

I enjoyed taking this class in S22! I always looked forward to coming to lectures. Grading consisted of a topic video project (15%), two writing assignments (15% ea.), a midterm (20%), and a group research project (35%). You worked on the group project throughout the quarter so it wasn't difficult. I would recommend this class & professor!

Prof Gibbs is a very caring and intelligent lady. The lectures are engaging and inspiring. Papers and tests are graded generously as long as you work. Easy A!

I think Gibbs is a great professor, you can tell she's extremely intelligent and passionate about the material. I had more issues with the structure of the class, unfortunately, too much of the grade was centered around a group project which really sucks if you get stuck with a lazy group. I also wish the paper prompts were less vague.
