Rescorla is a solid professor, definitely knows his stuff. Doesn't assign tons of reading. Lots of papers but they are short and not too bad. No midterm! He is a very eloquent speaker. Didn't care much for philosophy but no fault of instructor

He closes eyes alot. Give me a break! He says therefore more than you can imagine...he always trying to pose like a GQ model. It's actually pretty funny

The lectures are very uneventful and he isn't an interesting speaker. He also closes his eyes when he talks which is annoying.

Very elaborate speaker, he is very helpful and the concepts are not too difficult to grasp. This class will stretch your mind, but in a good way, like a good sci-fi. Take this class if you like sci-fi, and you and Rescorla can chat it up about Star Trek.

Good professor, and very knowledgable. His lectures and the readings are heavy in quality not quantity. If you like learning take his class.

Recent Harvard phd grad, and it shows. His teaching style is less laid back than you're used to at UCSB, give him a few quarters and I'm sure we'll break him in. Class material interesting and challenging, reading can be heavy at times. Eloquent lecturer.

A difficult course which required a lot out of its students, but a very educational course. Rescorla structed the class very well and was extremely knowledgable on the subject. He was able to answer any questions I had.
