LISTEN TO THE OTHERS!! I can't believe I make the mistake to take this man TWICE!
Avoid at all cost. Lectures are difficult to follow. No textbook, only the most boring reader ever created. Test are multiple choice, but extremely difficult. The class average was a 'D', half the class got an 'F'. NEVER TAKE A CLASS W/THIS GUY.
I will never take a class by him again. He's extremely cocky, his lectures are unclear, and his tests are ridiculous. For the final, he quoted someone out of our 200 page reader, and asked "who said this?" I went to every single lecture, and read every single reading, and that didn't even help.
I took one class from him...it was so terrible I promised myself I would never that again. THEN, I had to take another one of his classes. Mind-numbing. Terrible. Constant rambling.
boring lectures, first time back teaching Comm 170 in awhile but sometimes didn't even know names of cases, who won, etc. Vague in some respect, difficult tests, high expectations for paper, do not recommend this teacher
this guy is awesome! how could u ever hate him after taking 3 classes with dolly?!
take his wife before you take him. he is a horrible teacher and his tests were torture

id rather not graduate than take another class from this guy. complete and utter torture. Likes to asks several test questions that include his personal research. HEs rude to students giving presentations, interupting them and quizzing them on their findings. Gets off on making students feel bad. Total nerd on a power trip.
WORST PROF EVER!!! Who the hell shows up the day of the midterm without the test and says "uhhh sorry I couldnt print it out"....
This class was pretty dry and I give Charles props for trying to make lecture somewhat interesting. But overall it was disorganized and difficult to later study for exams- and the class was very difficult to sit through day after day. I found the exams to be more difficult than I expected as well. I am trying to avoid him for future classes.
he has A.D.D.... his lectures are hard to follow cuz hes practically EVERYWHERE n jumping from one thing to another without making any sense.
WORST CLASS I have EVER taken! He is unclear in his lectures, gives no insite as to what to focus on for final or minderm. He is CRAZY. He is condescending towards students... Therefore beware!!

Chuck is a good guy, a little more interesting than his wife. he always has interesting stories that kinda relate to material. like Dolly his tests are hard as hell. multi choice=multiple answers. never actually did a paper in his class, he always assigned it too late then cancelled it...a modern hippie living in todays world
Very difficult exams that make no sense, not very approachable in office hours, overall one of the worst teachers I've ever had in my life.
His wife is a much better teacher. I switched my major after taking his class. What a pointless class.

Class was clear and easy to understand. Just midterm and final for grades. Took it in summer so maybe it was designed differently (or he enjoyed the light schedule). Interesting to learn about FCC regulations, etc.
Long lectures, easy to outline, but who cares when the test is confusing and he gives no hints to what is on it. MC tests are tricky and deceptive, + given after the drop deadline.
not too easy, but very clear and straightforward. midterm, final--thats it. trust me, a mullin clas is great compared to writing the typical research paper. He knows the info well but repeats the same stuff in every class, so take him again! only studied the day before midterm and final and got A-
