comes across as an easy teacher, but tests are hard! would not recommend. if you do need to take his class, try summer session.
took this class over the summer so the lectures were long. the exams are unnecessarily confusing and difficult. if you're a major you have to take the class though.
hard class, likes to hear himself talk, goes off on tangets all the time, tests are very wordy and confusing, not a very good teacher
Prof. Mullin comes across as easy, but the material on his tests isnt close to what is covered, he asks for very specific questions from the reading. he is also very vague and goes of on tangents in class that have nothing to do with what is supposed to be learned
obsessed with himself, boring, doesn't review at all, questions on exams are scatterbrained, uses old and outdated lectures and sometimes doesnt even know what he is talking about, i would never take a class from this man again! and you shouldnt either
Tries to cover too much in class. Tests are hard and doesn't do reviews prior to tests. I would not recommend him
some lectures are painful... likes to go off on tangents a lot and loves to hear himself talk. midterms are usually fair in difficulty but the finals always work me
lectures are okay, easy to follow, and will think the class is easy until you take the exam
The lectures have a load of information. He's not very helpful during office hours. The tests are all multiple choice and kind of hard.
He's not bad. The lectures can drone on a little, but overall he's a good teacher. He's funny sometimes, and has interesting stories and current events. Married to Dolly Mullin, who also teaches at UCSB. I would recommend him, but don't expect an easy &qu
