he's a great great teacher. his tests are really hard, and your entire grade is based on them! he grades fair though.
one of the greatest math teachers. explains a concept, does an example of that concept, then goes over the concept again. and if u still dont get it ask him and he'll probably do it again. hw was ez, gives practice midterms that help a lot. final was hard but managable
Goodearl was one of the best math teachers I have ever had. His lectures are clear and he welcomes questions if anyone doesnt understand the material. His tests are also very fair. Take Goodearl if you get the chance. You wont regret it!
his lectures are easy to follow and he's so kind to ppl asking questions. final seems easier than midterms to me since much more time was allowed and there was no hurry. even if you can't make it in 3hrs, he would allow you to stay for some more time:) highly recommend his class!!
It's all good with goodearl! Both his midterms were very easy but his final took 3 hours and was more challenging. Great Prof.
His lectures were very well organized and clearly delivered. Also, he is extremely helpful when approached. A genuine nice guy. The second half of the class is more abstract, final was harder than both midterms.
He's a very good teacher and very clear in his lectures. If you are going to take a math class, have him as ur professor. Tests are very fair and he prepares you well for them. By far the best math teacher at UCSB
great prof. best math prof i have ever had. Definately ok to take his class.
He is really clear and explains everything really well. He explains very difficult problems like they were simple algebra problems. After taking notes in the class it is really easy to do the homework.
Great teacher.
Ken was not so helpful for me as I hoped. First month I understood little in his quick and somewhat snobbish lectures. The class resembled undergraduate(size,TA,elbow-working). The course is difficult unless you have strong undergraduate background in algebra.
He's a very clear lecturer and explains things well. I thought the way the class was structured was a little odd -- we rushed through the ostensible topic quickly and then did some tangential stuff at the end. Also, the homework was quite difficult. He's a good teacher, though.
He is a very good, friendly, approachable teacher. His lectures are very clear and well-organized and he has the gift of being able to present challenging material with the greatest of ease so that we can follow it.
Goodearl has been the best math teacher i've ever had on campus. Tests are decent, and usually follow the practice midterms he gives out. His lectures are clear, and well organized, AND unlike many other teachers in the department speaks PERFECT ENGLISH. So there is no confusion about what is said.
I thought his class wasn't going to be that hard, because his midterms was decent, but his final this quarter was sooo hard and long. He dint pass a lot of people
Teacher is very Clear and articulates his ideas well.
Awesome teacher to have for a higher level math course. Very clear and Precise.
...
Very good teacher, clear and sicinct. Highly recommended!
Very good, best math teacher at UCSB
He is a very good teacher. Go to class and you will learn the material, tests are pretty easy as long as you attend lecture. Make sure you memorize the midterms, becuase the final is exactly the same as the two midterms, minus later material.
