I feel the reviews about Professor Barrage are unfair. She cares about her students and knows the material very well and explains them as well as she can. The hardest part of this course is the curve, but that isn't set by the professor. The exams are all MC and are manageable if you do your work and study.

Good lectures, provides good insight and her intuition slides provide good intuition on why things work the way they do. Listen to lectures, study hard, and you'll do great. She had a bad rating but don't be scared, just work hard and it'll be fine. Midterms are pretty hard, but just do all the practice ones and attend CLAS.

Def not an easy A at all. However, it's not as bad as other reviews make it out to be. Tests were MC but designed to be confusing and throw you off, so you just need to make sure you not only understand all the material, but do practice tests to know how to approach different questions and their wordings. Barrage herself is caring and nice

Strongly advise anyone who needs to take Econ 2 to avoid Professor Barrage's class at all costs. Listen to the reviews, I for one definitely resonate with them after taking this class. Honestly surprised the school or department hasn't tried to take any action given how poor her feedback has been.

Honestly the worst professor or teacher I have ever had. Made my experience miserable and is the reason why I want to switch majors and no longer pursue economics. I was stressed the entire quarter, studied hard, went to weekly CLAS classes, and still did not do well. Moves at an extremely fast pace and it is so hard to obtain any information.

Way too challenging for an introductory econ course. Bends students over with her tests (which all have C/D averages) so hard that I'm still recovering. Lectures are way too fast. The material is easy to understand, but Lint decides to make her tests discouragingly hard. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS.

I lowkey didn't understand her lectures and ended up reading the textbook. she talks about things completely unrelated and the tests have little to do with concepts so its really hard to study. The averages for her midterms were like C's and the curve is so stupid. Only 10% of the class gets an A. Only take if you need it and are willing to get a C

The material is rather easy to understand, but professor makes the tests extremely more difficult than her homework or things she teaches in lectures. Some questions are on things that were never even mentioned. Avoid taking this professor at any cost. No leniency or forgiveness. Midterms are impossible

Professor Barrage is an interesting choice. Although having a very nice and encouraging personality, her lectures are quite the opposite. She would rather sprint through 70 slides in 75 minutes rather than taking her time to properly acknowledge subjects. Prepare for this course to become self-taught and tests are too difficult.

She is a really bad professor, her lectures at Econ 2 can be really uninspired and useless. The midterms and final are impossible indeed even if you could review more your notes and use Pearsons e-book efficiently. Lecture is really useless to take in person, and professor Barrage is definitely a bad choice.

The TAs are so much more helpful than the professor. Go to section, and concepts become so much easier to understand. Be sure to do the readings and practice problems on Pearson. Her lecturing is decent. Her tests are difficult, but there is a curve.

Projects are only worth 5% of your grade (they are fairly easy however). Tests are super hard, and not similar to lecture and homework problems. Lectures are difficult to understand because the professor moves at such a fast pace and doesnt give students time to absorb information. Prepare to dedicate hours to this class; you will teach yourself.

Her tests were pretty hard, but definitely doable. Her lectures were pretty good and easy to understand. She goes at a good pace and stops to answer any questions that you may have. Go to lectures, do the readings, and do the homework and you should be good.

Even though the tests were mildly difficult, if you do practice problems it will guarantee at least a B. She is very understanding, really knowledgeable about what she teaches, and wants you to learn. I love how interactive classes were, and I would love to take another class by her again.

Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy A. You definitely have to work for your grade, but it isn't completely horrible. Professor could've done some stuff differently, but she was overall pretty understanding. Do practice problems, attend lectures, and read the textbook thoroughly if you want to do well.

Efficient, patient, to the point. She does not cater to the lazy students in the class. A criticism: her climate alarmism is comical. Be real, stop spreading fear and lets plan some solutions rationally.

Like other students have said, many of these bad reviews were submitted after midterm one. However they fail to consider how understand of the situation she was, offering a makeup midterm and when she realized that was significantly harder, curving the makeup. She went over all material we were tested on in class, and was super accessible too!

Eh shes alright, majority of the comments here are from people who were mad after first midterm, I know cuz I was too. Prof barrage is honestly a very nice person and her class is definitely hard, but you learn a lot. Just take the class and study

Okay, 90% of the reviews here were reactions to a tough first midterm. This class was tough, but Lint was super knowledgeable and considerate. You needed to put in work outside class (pearson practice probs were a huge help for exams), but it was definitely doable and Lint was always available to help. To future students, you'll be 100000% fine

all the bad reviews are literally from people who didn't study enough and failed the first midterm. whos fault is that? lmao. ill say rn that most people that were talking &%$# in the loopchat after that first midterm ended up with decent final grades. wayyy to quick to judge barrage. overall good quarter

Professor Barrage did really well lecturing with the Zoom format. She always made sure to pause for questions people had during class and she was overall a nice person who responded to the concerns of her students. The class does require some work, but Econ2 is Econ2, the difficulty of the material isnt something the professor can control.

Professor Barrage is a great professor that cares about her students and is really informed and passionate about macroeconomics. The class itself is difficult, significantly much more than Econ 1, but after exam 1, Professor Barrage introduced study skills and study guides that really helped us improve. Attend social and office hours!

Barrage is a good professor, you can tell she actually cares and is passionate for teaching. W/ that said, don't underestimate this class, if you come in with the same mindset of ECON1, prepare to get a whole letter grade lower. I clutched an A but I had to study a lot more than I thought I would've. Overall solid choice, people judged her too fast
