Based on her inability to have any control of the class even in the first lecture, I knew it would be a difficult quarter. I had low expectations and she still failed to meet them.

Tests are on textbook AND lecture content. Prof is super responsive to feedback and you would know that if you attend a lecture live. She always pauses for questions and concerns and is very solid. I wish people would have given her a second chance after the first midterm because after that, I felt the class pick up a lot.

This classes learning material from the book was clear and concise and the homework was very understandable for that reason. However, lectures in this class are terrible and book will not prepare you for tests that have nothing to do with materials from book. Professor and TA's are completely disconnected from needs of students.

The first test was a disaster, yes. However, Barrage has redeemed herself after some experience (spring 21 was her first quarter here) and the class is now a typical econ class. Past two midterms have not been bad (B/B- average which is on par for the econ department) and she's a solid lecturer.

She is a hard professor but considering it's her first quarter teaching, she's doing a good job. Yes, the tests are pretty hard, but econ is a competitive major and people need to work hard to receive the grade they want. Econ is hard and this isn't the professor's fault. She is reasonable, fair and the lectures are interesting and easy to follow.

I don't think the professor deserves all the hate she's been getting. The lectures and homework are straightforward, and her overall instruction is solid. The exams aren't a walk in the park, but should they be? The mean grade on the last midterm was B-, and the people who think that's unreasonable are in for a rough time at this university.

I have never been in a class where I read the whole textbook and still have no idea what I am looking at when I go to the test. This class was horrible, I tried to give this professor time to figure out what tf she is doing she seems to just be incompetent. Testing is horrible and she doesn't give a good study guide or good lectures.

As a professor and person, she is a wonderful person! She is sweet and cares for the class. However, her test was impossible, and going through 81 slides in a one-hour class period is hard to follow and concepts were easily missed by a lot of students. Have to study really hard for her tests as It is a huge step up and ridiculously hard.

To be honest, the difficulty of the recent midterm did make me shed a few tears. However, the professor herself is really nice and seems really enthusiastic about this course. Since one out of three midterms are dropped, we still have two more midterms and chances. Also, as others mentioned, it's only her first quarter. That said, won't take again

The class is definitely doable, but you genuinely have to work for a good grade. She made multiple adjustments in response to our spam emails, but it looks like the majority of us are always able to find something wrong with the changes. The class isn't designed to make you fail, the lowest midterm is dropped and we know how future tests look like

Her class is not that difficult if you watch the lectures and do the work you should do fine. People overhype the rigor of the course, and she is not an unreasonable professor. Overall, the material is not that difficult to understand, and instruction is sufficient for one to succeed in the class.

This is Barrage's 1st quarter teaching econ2 lol give her a break. 1 of the 3 midterms are dropped so Barrage has enough time to listen to the feedback (like 30 reviews) to adjust for the next 2. The 1st midterm was doable and the insane retake was only offered bc of a gauchospace glitch. If you find the homework hard tho, just drop econ now.

HEY LINT!!! I hope you're reading these reviews and getting a feel for how wonderfully your class is setup. Since you LOVE talking about the U.S. in your lectures so much, how bout you learn a thing or two from them like COMPROMISE. It's not too late to adjust your class and grading scale like a sane professor would and learn to change for once.

Her insane tests that are way too difficult and with very bad time proportions are worth 62% of your grade in this class. She has to start listening to her students by either adjusting her grading scale, test difficulty, curve grades, make tests worth less, and/or make HW (also super difficult) worth more.

Lectures&reading are v broad/general compared to the specific exam. The 1st midterm was way too many q's in not enough time, then she gave us a make-up midterm which was 100x harder & gave us an additional 15% curve(nice but random/shouldn't have happened).Exam q's are much more complex than the v basic lecture q's--not enough resources to prepare.

shes definitely tough but its her first quarter so Im cutting her a bit of slack. She is a nice woman and just needs to figure out how to grade and format the class to better help the students

Lint gave us the option to retake the midterm to replace our scores on the first one. Apparently this midterm was "a lot harder" and she decided to give everyone who took this test 15 extra points, after saying this make up would have the exact same scoring criteria has the first. I wonder how she came up with that number. Pretty ridiculous to me.

hear me out, I dont think barrage has any ill will towards her students. I think shes a nice person at heart. However the criticism comes from the disconnect she seems to have with us students. My biggest issue is the short exam times & hmw limited to 1 try. Managing a 600 person class must be difficult but I feel like there can be more compromise

i wouldn't even be taking this class if it weren't for my major. for econ 2 being an introductory macro course, the material is WAY too difficult, and lint doesn't even teach anything. lectures and textbook don't prepare you at all, and there's really nothing you can do to study for her impossible exams.

Homework is long, you only get one attempt, and it doesn't even help you on the exam. No practice exam material, and exam is 25 questions with only 75 minutes, which is nowhere near enough time. Tests on things that aren't in lectures or the textbook. Do not recommend at all.

I was so excited for econ, until I took this class. Dropped out just after the midterm. Tests were 100x more difficult than she explained the material. The homework assignments were hard and not good to learn from, and the test were even worse. Could be because of this class being taught online, but I would not recommend.

I've never felt the need to rate a professor before, but Lint has exceeded my expectations on how bad a professor can be. She just reads off the slides in lecture, gives extremely little time for exams, and tests on material that can't be found anywhere. If this class wasn't required for my major, I would've already dropped out.

Honestly one of the worst professors I've ever had. Speaks way too fast during lectures, doesn't teach any of the material covered on the exams, and her slides are completely useless. Not only are the exams impossible to finish on time, but the questions asked are extremely confusing and not mentioned in any of her lectures or the textbook.

Her midterm was extremely hard, her lectures are just reading out the slides, reading the textbook by yourself is even better than watching her lecture. Overall, taking this class is such a bad choice, I wouldn't take this class if I can choose again. If you want to experience failure and anxiety, this class would definitely be your best choice.
