He was my first professor at UCSB, and he was great. He's funny, approachable, and smart. His lectures are at times boring, but he attempts to make them fun. Thanks to him I'm sticking with political science as my major. (P.s. Professor Narang is hot)
For the most part, a good lecturer, but sometimes get distracted so lectures run behind. Each lecture basically works off of the chapter, so very helpful if you read beforehand (I didn't), as lecture will reiterate and help you understand the material. Midterm & final are both a take home essay along with writing on a randomly selected key term.
This class requires a lot of reading but it is not that bad if you stay on schedule and do about two chapters a week. The Midterm and Final were also not that bad. He is an amazing teacher and is very caring. The lectures can get boring at times.
I really enjoyed this class! It was my first poli-sci/college class ever and it's a great one to ease yourself into. The lectures are pretty interesting and class discussion is pretty funny. He's a young guy and his teaching methods reflect this.
He is the nicest Professor on campus. Super smart, and totally approachable. I actually changed my major to Political Science because of this class. Wish I could take another one with him.
Really funny lecturer and overall cool guy. His powerpoints are very clear and correlate to the textbook reading exactly. Midterm and Final are ridiculously easy (if you do the reading.) Hint: don't study historical events because thats a historical example. If you go to lecture, you really don't need to read and vice versa. Great class.
Professor Narang is easily one of the funniest professors I've ever had. He is engaging, and I would take any IR class with him again.
I went to his office hours, and he gives amazing advice on grad schools and life in general. He is extremely willing to answer all your questions, and is just a super chill guy. Awesome professor.
By far, my favorite professor at UCSB. Hes really funny. His lectures are organized and interesting. Seems like he actually cares about his students. Always a long line to meet him at office hours, but worth going if you have time.
Such a funny professor and pretty attractive. His lectures are very interesting. The midterm and final are fairly easy. Part of it was a take home essay and the other in class identifications. He posts his lectures online and the readings follow lectures but lectures are fun to go to. I would so love to have this professor again.
He is a very funny professor, and his lectures are helpful and informative. The readings are tedious, so going to class really helps to make sense of them, and his is usually as fun as classes tend to get in my opinion.
He's a funny guy and gives great lectures that really help you understanding the long readings. Regardless, the readings are fairly easy, just long. Office hours definitely help too and are worth it.
