I just applied to 8 grad schools and this Professor was supporting in writing all letters and helping me with revising my statements. I had him in a big class in 2015 and he was still willing to help after he suggested that we have a few phone convos to help him know me better for letters. I don't know any other Professor that would do that.

I dont know why UCSB don't keep him here, he was the most exciting professor I had and he cared about us getting it. His lectures were packed and always entertaining and very funny and we can learn with that good.

Had Corpuz for developmental and it was the best course I took here. The grade you get is what you earn. No tricks and he's a very good presenter that time flies. There were readings that were not on the exam but not too bad

Come back Dr. Corpuz!!!! My favorite professor at UCSB. The human relationships class I took with him was incredible and I am not exagerating, you can ask anyone in that class. I really wish he was teaching more classes here before i graduate. (

He made a huge impact on me after taking his class. I never thought I would like psych this much, but the evolutionary psychology approach that Dr. Corpuz took with this class completely captured me. He uses really great examples and his slides are amazing. Quizzes are easy if you read but the exams are pretty tough. DO NOT MISS CLASS!

One of the best teachers here!!!! He makes the class very fun. His tests were challenging for me but some people aced it. Some difficult stuff but makes the class fun!!!! Take Him

LOVE. It is nuts how far and beyond his teaching is compared to the others at UCSB. He needs to teach a class on how to teach. Truly enjoyed his 143 and I was actually sad to see it end. He's so supportive and really cares about students understanding some (my opinion) difficult bioevo stuff.

Sit back and enjoy the show. Wow. What a great professor from start to finish. The material is difficult but you somehow leave and you understand it. He's def a unique guy. He can get on a roll and lecture starts to feel like TED talk where the slides are not even needed (so cool to see). Def don't miss lectures and you'll do well.

Corpuz was the best teacher I ever had. His funny lectures and examples really helped the material stick. The online quizzes helped bolster my grade as well, not that his midterm and finals were difficult. One of those classes where even though going to class was mandatory to pass, I didn't mind going to class. Thank you Corpuz for being amazing!

By far, BEST PSYCH PROFESSOR I've had at UCSB! Corpuz is clearly very intelligent, as well as engaging, and hilarious! 143 (Human Relationships) was a fun class, and Corpuz makes you want to attend every lecture, as makes the information accessible and relatable through his teaching style. Prepare for Beyonce references and a bio-evolutionary style

Dr Corpuz is such a unique presenter and he's very smart (&super cute). He has a blast teaching and its contagious. Material is easy to follow even though, theres wayyyyyy more bio then I planned on. Most days he teaches using a funny story about him or he asks class for volunteers of stories. helps the material stick forever. genius!

His classes are so much fun! I had him for a few psych classes and his teaching style is really what makes the every class stand out in my head. The material on paper is so-so but when he talks about it, very easy to get excited about it. Very organized and clear. LOVED all the classes I took with him.

Best psychology professor I have had thus far. He is clear, organized, and is willing to help. Took him for Psy 105 and it was great!!! There was weekly quizzes and a midterm and final, but you HAVE to read. Try and read before the class to understand the material for lecture, but overall he is a great professor!

Hands Down, the best professor I have encountered while at college. Eager to inspire us about the subject he loves so much as well. He is approachable and relatable and honestly at this point my colleague. He is amazing. He will engage you and if you meet him halfway you will get the grade you so deserve, yes an A my friends.

Amazing teacher!!! There are weekly quizzes which are online and one midterm and final. There is not textbook but he posts a lot of readings online which are kinda mandatory in order to get a good grade in the class. If you have a good group of people you can help each other out and the class will be much easier. Interesting class!

Awesome professor! He is super into developmental psych and teaches enthusiastically. Always there to help outside of class. Online quizzes and midterm + final. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! He is super clear and really helps you understand the material. He is passionate, and therefore his lectures are super interesting and engaging, even though he literally just lectures with a powerpoint. Read the articles, go to class, and pass the class pretty easily. Very fair exams, not meant to trick you!

Lots of hype about taking a class from him and he was as advertised for sure. There's kind of a buzz in the room, everyone shows up even though he never takes attendance and you end up learning some pretty chill stuff. If you go to lecture and reread the slides before the tests, the readings are not needed to get a good grade

Honestly one of the best psych classes I have taken at UCSB. Corpuz genuinely knows the material he is teaching and cares about his students. He always makes time to answer questions and will work until he knows the answer. He also keeps readings relevant to what is new in the field. The class was fun, interesting, and I would 100% recommend.

I LOVE HIM! He is a really good lecturer and has really interesting research! If you get the chance, take his human relationships class. It isnt too demanding of material and he makes the harder-to-grasp concepts more accessible! Attendance is hardly necessary at all, but I went to every lecture. Got a 98% in the class-never looked at the book once

AMAZING professor. I've never seen such good attendance turn out in a class that doesn't take attendance. Made lectures interesting and not too dense, and he's very funny. Tests are straight forward and not made to trick you. One of the best classes i've taken.

It was such a good experience taking this class and the material is all interesting. he takes a lot of time to be very clear what he means. Cares about teaching which is not always true!

Great class and a great professor, straight forward on what he tests, and very charismatic and funny. He made learning some dense material fun for us.

my favorite psych class that ive taken at UCSB I'd definitely recommend taking it with him. He made lectures interesting and told you exactly what you needed to know. We didn't use a book but the assigned readings were all relevant to lectures. LOVED THIS CLASS!
