He is a talented guy who makes you want to be like him. With great expereince in job field, he has incredible glorious past but he is not a good teacher. He is messy, unorgnized, and he makes this pre-requisite econ 3B ridiculously hard. He said even himself can't finish the exam in time. He doesn't emphasis your efforts in hw or projects at all.
Sander is easily the best lower division econ professor. Thank God I got to take him for 3b just before he stopped teaching it, if I had Harmon again I don't think I would have learned anything throughout all the econ classes. He's a little difficult, but he really teaches you what you need to know. 10x better than Harmon or Crouch.
Awesome teacher. You will either get the info and do pretty good or fail. Intense but worth it!
Dear Henry, You've got 5 On It. Great Class!
I loved his lectures. He is either going to make or break you...if you are relying on this class to get into the major.
Sander knows his stuff well but I didn't think he was that good at teaching it. His tests are HARD and you HAVE to study the practice tests. He does make you want to be a CPA though. The curve is what will make your grade because no one finishes his tests. Do what you know first on tests and work on the rest later. Final is easier than midterms
Keeps econ somewhat fun and interesting. Tests are very hard, but curved. Must study the practice tests!
This guy made me want to be a CPA. His tests are challenging, but the information in lectures and sections is very clear and VERY PRACTICAL. 10x's better than taking this with Harmon (he will give you debits and credits, not practical stuff). Just makes ure to study the old tests and you have no reason not to do well.
Tests are impossible to do w/o doing the practice ones; on the other hand, i doubt you need to do anything except going over his practice tests over and over again. Maybe even lectures are pointless.
He knows accounting like the back of his hand, but is unorganized with his notes. The tests were very very difficult. By far the hardest accounting class at this school. Overall a good teacher.
nice and funny guy, very hard, but interesting. Study hard and the curve pulls u up big times. You get an A with like 70 to 75 %! Funny Motel 6 stories too!! Better than Harmon I think!
Difficult class. Don't miss lecture, and do practice tests over and over. Weekly hw is a joke, as is the project-they're both free points. Lectures are a little boring, but don't miss em.
really really hard tests. but the man is a great teacher and is hilarious.
Sanders is teh**** yo. Funny ass motel six stories, the f word used in every three sentences. Tough guy, but ****ing good****. Like the guy who got a C first then an A, you'll probably know your**** after the class is already over unless you get AS notes and check everything on ERES out AND go to review sessions.
Sander is not the teacher to have if you really need to be taught. Unless you can learn just from the book, wait until you can take the class with Harmon, or find Harmon's slides online, they really help.
hes a lazy nut, but knows his stuff incredibly good. dont take this class unless you have to or if you want to hear funny ass stories about motel six.
Sander is the**** but don't take 136C if you are stupid.
hard midterms~! study hard to get a B- or higher. Good luck!
This class is not bad at all. If you get AS notes and study all of the practice midterms, it should be a very easy A or B. People that get the C or below should check out sbcc.
Sander is definitely the best accounting professor at UCSB. The things that I learned from him will definitely be the only things that stick with me after I graduate. If you're an accounting major, you can't graduate without taking a class from him. He is not easy but you will learn more than you will from any other class.
