One of the best professors I've met at UCSB. She is attentive to the needs of students, incredibly generous with her time. Her classes can be difficult, but you will absolutely improve your Mandarin.

I've had her for all my Chinese classes, and I learned a lot from her. She encourages class participation and if you actually want to learn Chinese her class is very fun.
