Homework labs, final project, that's it. Had interesting lectures, accessible at office hrs. Should attend lecture as he talks about more than what's written in lecture slides, was helpful with questions

Professor Chi is one of the best professors I've had at UCSB. He genuinely cares about his students so much from what he plays in class to explaining things again. Class was very self-paced and focused on learning. He explains concepts completely, is knowledgeable, and is kind. Take classes with him for sure. Go to lectures, and you will do well.

Dr. Chi is approachable, lenient, and open-minded, with thoroughly explained lectures and generous grading / submission times, none of which included exams. Much of the grade comes from assignments started in section, and while attendance is optional it helps a lot. But some assignments felt superfluous, where even office hours found barely useful.

GOAT. Hands down the best PSTAT professor I've had in UCSB. Knows his materials from top to bottom. Cares about students and very helpful and accessible outside of class and in OH. Because there are no tests, expect some workloads from labs, projects, and Daily Checks. Go to lectures and sections as they help you prepare for all HW. He is very nice

Amazing professor and amazing class. While 126 is usually a theoretical stats class, Chi prioritizes coding applications while going over the theory. His lecture slides are extremely well put together and he elaborates very well. Lecture/section attendance is not mandatory, but assignment answers are often given here so be sure to attend!
