I love Shakespeare and am an English major, so this class was more fun than work. Shaun is a great person; they are always available to schedule office hours and offer extra credit opportunities. Genuinely wants students to perform well. I will say some of the content was very specific, but the essays were open-ended.

Took this class as a first year engineering major for a gen ed, and I'm very interested in Shakespeare so this class was honestly really interesting. However, his lectures were honestly not my cup of tea. That's probably cause this isn't really my line of study, though. Class is graded pretty fairly/generously.

Lectures were digestible, engaging, and available for final review. Four plays, moves kind of quick but manageable. Really explains biweekly assignments and section participation/attendance matters. Approachable and willing to read drafts of papers. Got constructive feedback that I was able to apply. Recommend even as first year in first upper div

Professor Nowicki gives excellent, organised lectures. His clear passion for the material, engagement with students, and the brief breaks given make lecture pass quickly every time. Entirely reasonable reading & workload, and each assignment was thoroughly explained. Left the course finally able to appreciate Shakespeare as I never could before.
