Super cool professor! Nice guy who clearly cares about and knows his stuff. In terms of the class it was really quite easy, start things ahead of time and show up to class and pay attention, and you'll probably do very well

Lectures were boring (for me) and he used iClicker to check attendance which was 20% of the final grade. Otherwise, the class was chill. No final or midterm, but there were 3 quizzes and a final that Malvinni and the TA prepares you for. I never did a single reading and got a pretty easy A. Malvinni is the GOAT (chillest guy ever).

Malvinni is clearly very passionate, but he is NOT a good teacher. Lectures were random and confusing. Wifi was bad in LLCH (not his fault) but all tests were online and half the people had NO wifi. Rather than switch to paper tests, he embraced the chaos. Also, attendance worth 20% of the grade and he was very unreasonable about iClicker issues.

He made me hate music. Genuinely I hate Southern Indian Carnatic music so much now that I feel bad for Southern India. He doesn't understand iClicker and has the worst wifi ever. does not post grading rubric. iClicker messed up? You were there? Yeah nah lmao take that letter drop.

Attendance was mandatory, and he was very inconsiderate about missing class. On top of that, we had presentations for the section, final projects, concerts that were 2+ hours long, and a final that we had to study for. He isn't willing to help during office hours, and everyone in the department always seems to be in a rush. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
