The best teacher ever! Prof. Haughton is kind, makes class fun, and overall makes it seem like a fun bookclub. I thought the speeches were daunting at first but they are pretty chill, writing assignments are not insanely long, and overall had lots of fun in this class tbh.

Took SCLA102 with Haughton at Purdue. Very nice and caring. Lots of reading, don't miss class, lots of speeches, and essays. Expects a very high level of understanding and deep connections to the texts to be made by students.

Disappointed I got an A- because I did all assignments and tried to do a really good job based on instructions we were given from this professor. Ended up only getting a 90 on my final assignment because I didnt pull from enough of the lectures, but I used at least two and there were no specific requirements for this in the instructions.
