One of the best classes I've taken at UCSB!! Leo is absolutely outstanding lecturer. His teaching style is engaging and he makes difficult concepts easy to understand. He is highly approachable, always willing to help and it's clear that he has a genuine passion for the materials in the class. I highly recommend taking a class with him!

I had him as my TA. Did no see him even once throughout the quarter. I emailed him multiple times and he never responded. The only thing that he did was to grade one assignment, and his feedback had nothing to do with the assignment. It seemed that he did not care about the class or the students.

This class was lecture-heavy but professor Leo was able to explain difficult concepts in a simple way. Exams were directly from the lectures. Some technical problems with the course but overall I enjoyed his course. No lab reports, but there was a final presentation and poster.
