Great professor. The class is really interesting and he gives a lot of emphasis on answering student questions and talking about current events. Grade is based on 2 essays (Midterm is 3 pages and final 5 pages) that are promptless and can be about literally anything related to the class.

Professor Zipperstein is the best professor in the history department. Grade was based on 2 papers and participation. The papers do not have any prompts, so you can choose any topic you want to write about, so long as it is relevant to the class.

The Professor is amazing. I truly enjoyed the class. As another reviewer mentioned, he is only a visiting Prof for this academic year but if you have the chance - take his class. He is respectful of all views but challenges people to explain them in a way that I think helps everyone else understand the material better.

I made an account and this page just to review this prof. He's a professor at UCLA and Tel Aviv and has an impressive resume in law. He's caring, respectful of all student views, engaging, and kept all course material relevant and interesting. Only negative I have is the lack of grading opportunities (only 3 graded assignments). Gonna miss him!
