Only small quiz grades, so if you do not do well on a few, your overall grade will be poor with not much room to raise it. She lectures a lot and is knowledgable, but material can be very boring and un-interactive.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT ART HISTORY AND JUST NEED THE GE. Professor usually has over 2 hours of lecture per week which are just images she talks over (no text on the slides and no captions) and as someone with bad hearing this made this course terrible. Too much work required for a course most people take for GE credit.

Professor Salami is an amazing lecturer, and her class genuinely changed the way I view art history, art authenticity, and the role colonialism and white supremacy play in the art world. There's a lot of lectures and 2 bulky readings per week, but the ideas are really interesting, the grading isn't too harsh, and I highly recommend taking it for GE
